I was thinking of things I could do to make my blog more interesting (which really means to keep me going and trying new things, or just out and about, or just keeping my brain active) and I think I will do a picture of the week for the month of March, since February is almost over. Just something that struck me as lovely and worth sharing. Dancing in photography. Let the good times pose ;o)

Something To Do
I was thinking of things I could do to make my blog more interesting (which really means to keep me going and trying new things, or just out and about, or just keeping my brain active) and I think I will do a picture of the week for the month of March, since February is almost over. Just something that struck me as lovely and worth sharing. Dancing in photography. Let the good times pose ;o)
Flour, Sugar, Eggs, Etc. pt 1
Here is the recipe:
1 cup of shortening (Golden or regular)
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1 - 2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
(*I'm leaving out the pecans/walnuts)
Prheat oven to 375 F. With electric mixer, beat shortening and sugars together at high speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time to the cookie batter and mix after each addition. Add vanilla and beat until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough from small spoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until cookies are golden around edges and underneath. Remove from oven and let cool about 2 minutes before removing from the baking sheet. With lifter remove cookies from the pan and let cool on racks.
Makes about 48 large cookies or 72 small ones.
And I must say, my cookies were a hit! Yippieeee!!! More baking for me :D
Friendship (esp for my S.O.C.A. Sisters)
The family I get to choose: friends.
They light up my life and keep me going.
They understand me.
They encourage me to be myself.
To my beloveds I walk to the center of the stage
and in silence, because no music can support this emotion fully,
I dance with my soul, manifested through my body,
to show my appreciation,
my love,
my happiness and joy,
my gratitude
for you being in my life,
for you letting me be in your life,
for standing together for so many years.
I thank you.
I love you.
I miss you.
Blessed Love my friends.

Peace be with You

The world is filled with some beautify places. Find your peace and hold on to it. I'm a simple girl, a nature girl. I love fresh air, dirty and trees. I really enjoy being in and among them. It's funny that I'm sitting on the fourth floor of a library with an amazing view and I'm caught just gazing into peace and serenity. Just looking at it, the stillness and motion of nature, undisturbed by man's noise, is refreshing. My eyes make my soul dance to the sweet sound of peace.

Changes
It's my opinion that people are too rigid. Change is inevitable, yet still we don't like it. If you open your mind, and just suck it up, change will be easier to deal with. Why settle in the same old all the time. We travel down the same worn down path, instead of chartering a new path every so often. Life would be so much more fun...Don't you think??
Salutation! Greetings! Hello!
Thanks to Creation, to Mother Earth, to the water, to the winds, to the animals on the land, in the air and the sea, to the stars, to the moon, to the sun, and to the Creator. Give Thanks everyday, and take off your shoes and DANCE!
