Learning To Manage

I can't deny that managing money is not something I do best. It definitely is work in progress and something I always have to be conscious of. The moment it slips to the subconscious it all goes down hill.

I want to travel for Christmas to visit my sister, brother-in-law and sweet sweet nephew (he's so cute!!). So starting from May 1st I am going to do the following with whatever moneys I collect:

• take 10% out for offerings in church (or tithe) 
• with the remainder I am going to take 30% and save for my trip and beyond, and the 60% left I am going to use for everything else - groceries, entertainment, clothing, etc.

This may be really tough, but I believe it will stop me from living paycheck to paycheck, allow me to save and also be a lot more conscious of what I do with my money. I've made a bit of money this year and I truthfully cannot say where it all went. I'm always broke and always needing things. So this challenge will help me to know where my money is going and know where it can be going.
